Our team receiving prayer on Commissioning Night (Tuesday)

Team Borneo (this was taken last week)

So I am leaving for Borneo tomorrow at 6am! Can you believe it?!

I wasn't planning on using the internet while I was gone, plus the majority of my time will be in Villages so I won't have internet but if I get the opportunity I will try updating this blog just for you guys:)

Please continue to pray for our team, for unity, health, submission to the Holy Spirit and for a baby to be born...yes....we want to deliver a baby! (SAFELY)

I have had an amazing time of learning and growing and now I am so excited to apply everything and share Jesus' love with the people of Borneo. I will miss all of you so much, I already do but it will be difficult go so long without hearing your voices or seeing your picture on good ol' Facebook!

Thank you for all the prayers, financial blessings and encouragement. I couldn't have made it this far without you, I hope you continue to let God use you as His hands and feet.

Love you all :)

This is a picture of the best whale watching moment from yesterday! (Photo credit to Tim and his new iphone)

We were so blessed to go on a FREE whale watching boat ride yesterday afternoon and apparently we're lucky because we saw so many whales and all of them were jumping and showing us their huge tales and it was soooo exciting!

God's creation is so amazing to me.

Please keep us in your prayers, we only have 20 more days until we leave for Borneo! Please pray for the other team too, they are going to the big communist country that starts with a C and I am not allowed to type it out online so if you leave a comment do not write it out please!

I raised all my outreach funds and I am so thankful to all who graciously gave! Thank you so much.
Love you guys.

Hey guys! Here is a short update:
This week's theme: Father Heart of God
Speaker: Ben Nonoa...big Samoan guy from New Zealand. Big teddy bear:)
My Response: I am really seeing God as my Father, my Daddy. I miss my earthly Dad after this week...Love you Dad. So much.

Someone said to me yesterday, "Emmy, I love how lately you are always smiling, everytime I see you!" This pretty much sums it up.

I love it here, and I am so excited for Borneo but I am starting to realize how much I will miss it here when this all ends. Everytime I see a plane I get sad just thinking about flying home.
It's not that I don't love you guys at home, I do, and I do miss you, I just can't imagine coming home now, which is stupid of me to be worrying about because it's still months away.

All I know is God led me here for a purpose, and one of the main things which He revealed to me this week was that He just wants me to see how he LAVISHES His love on me.

Whale watching tomorrow. Hopefully my friends will take good pictures for me:( missing my camera.
Love you guys. Thanks for the prayer and support.

Hey everyone! I am back from my media fast. It was so great, I loved it so much I didn't feel like using my computer or phone all this week and I am updating this blog only because I love you guys... :)

So I am not sure how to express these past two weeks. It's really difficult for me to try to summarize what God has been doing so I will try my best to keep it short but purposeful...

Last week we learned about Worldviews. This is obviously how you perceive the world. We learned about different world religions and how it's affecting the world we live it. Amazing stuff and the Bible backs it all up. I would rather not type out what I learned because it was an INSANE amount of information so maybe when I get home I can go into more detail.

This week was called Holy Spirit week-self explanatory. This might have been one of my favorite weeks thus far. I have grown up being taught that I love Jesus and I love God but Holy Spirit has been kept a mystery to me until this week. Wow guys, He is amazing and it's life changing to live IN HIM and not in YOUR flesh. God has blessed us all with spiritual gifts and this week a few of mine manifested and I am just so excited about using them. I wish you could see my excitement face to face! And ALL the glory goes to God! The Holy Spirit's purpose is to glorify Jesus! And God's will is to GLORIFY JESUS.

So I hope that where ever you are right now, you will take a few minutes to stop what you are doing and praise your Creator, your Lover, your Father. So many times we only pray when we NEED something or when things are going wrong. Just pray to God right now and tell Him how great He is, thank him for your testimony and the life He has given you. God gave us everything He had except one thing-His Glory. He gave His only son, He gave His Spirit to us, He gave us EVERYTHING we need here on earth to survive so give Him the Glory He is intended to have!

There is so much more I want to share but I feel like when I get home I will be able to express it more affectively in person rather than on an online blog.

AND GUESS WHAT?! I will be on the plane to BORNEO in exactly one month from today!!! I seriously can't wait! Please keep our team in your prayers, we found out this week that one of the girls will not be joining us during this time due to personal reasons so keep her in your prayers, God will know who it is I am not going to name drop on here...thanks so much.

I have another payment due on March 8th! They announced today that they will be able to tell us the exact cost on Monday morning so I'm not sure how much it is. I know God is going to provide the money for me to go, so if you would like to bless me with a donation you can write a check to YWAM Maui and in the memo line write Emmy Baltic support or donation or whatever. You can send them to:
Emmy Baltic
Paia: PO Box 790237
Paia, HI 96779

I am so thankful for my home church for the offering they gave to me to pay for my lecture phase, it's amazing to see the body of Christ listen and obey the Head and graciously give. I KNOW God is blessing the members of Graceham right now as I type this out! Thank you so much! And thanks for anyone who already sent donations to me, I am so grateful and excited that you care so much.

Well I am going to wrap this up now but I do need specific prayer for something little but kind of important. My camera broke last week and I would hate to go to Borneo without one so just prayers that I can get it fixed or get a new one some how maybe for free ha.

Thanks everyone, miss you and love you!

New Hearts Week

Hey guys, sorry I didn't get a chance to update this past weekend...It was a crazy week and our internet has been horrible in the girls house.
SoOoOo where to start....
Well last week our speakers, Vince and Lesa McClung flew in from Oklahoma and right away I knew it was going to be an amazing week. They have been married for 20 some years and have 4 children. They used to be the school directors here on base. (Now Tom and Hoku Oterhaus are) It was so encouraging to here their stories of previous DTS groups and such. They are both hilarious people and there is never a dull moment when they are in the room.
However, last week wasn't just all laughs...let me put it to you this way, someone noticed there was more ice cream in the fridge as usual with different DTS girl students names on them and they said, "YEP its New Hearts week, look at all the comfort food!"
Basically, we ripped open old wounds, scars and hurts of the past and gave them to God to clean up. We did a whole day on sin, a whole day on forgiveness, a day on curses/vows and a day on soul-ties.
The soul-tie night was the hardest for most. If you are wondering what a soul-tie is it's a connection you have with a person, it can be Godly, like a spouse or child or it can be ungodly like an ex boyfriend or a bad friend...so we focused in on the ungodly ones and broke them in the name of Jesus. He is so good. This is essential for having any type of intimate relationship with Him...and trust me it wasn't as easy as I just made it sound.
Anyways, after lots of tears and burning things in a bon fire, we all came out feeling set free from what Satan had been using against us. To celebrate, Vince and Lesa and the staff said we could get baptized if we would like to...
For the past 2 years I have been wanting to get baptized, and I always hoped I could get baptized in the ocean:) Good thing I am in Maui!
It was AMAZING! I can honestly say it was the BEST moment of my life when I was under water for a second and then when I came back up...so much love. wow. anyways I posted a video on facebook, check it out if you can.
On Saturday we went to a place called Bamboo Forest for some fun...and it was.
I have pics on facebook of that too but I will try to post some on here after this post.

On Monday I got to lead worship for the base:) It was so much fun and I didn't tell many people but I wrote a worship song the first week I was here and we played it on Monday:)
Tonight we had a Valentine's coffeehouse show and I played 2 songs, I was originally going to play the song I wrote today but I got up there and FORGOT IT ugh so embarrassing but whatever it was still fun.

This is such a long post, wow, sorry! This week's lectures have been alright, def not my favorite, but we'll see how it ends up. Oh and I should tell you now, we are doing a media fast starting on Friday until next Friday so I won't be online or have my phone...

Alright I am going to post pictures but the internet keeps going in and out...
Pray for me and my team and the people in Borneo we will be reaching, it's coming so soon! Thanks love you and miss you all.

Oh I totally forgot to say that on Sundays we break up into groups and go to different churches around the north side of the island. I got put in the church that we actually go to for worship on Monday and Friday mornings in Haiku (about a 5 min drive). I got assigned to help with Pre-Schoolers! So fun yet so crazy! I will have more stories from there after this Sunday because last Sunday was my first day. But I did get slapped by a troubled foster kid :( it's okay though, I love him anyways. Please pray for him and his brother and 2 sisters who are all foster kids too (they are not related, just have the same foster parents). It is really obvious that they were raised in a rough environment, the youngest one is a sweet little 4 year old girl and she is JUST learning how to talk. It broke my heart. Her name is Jaysia, please pray for her. Thanks guys.
OH and I heard a little more about Borneo...
1) I will not be able to contact anyone back home while I am gone.
2)Dog is a delicacy there and you can't say "no" when offered food...
3)There are spiders that eat birds...imagine the size of them...
4)I will be bathing and washing my clothes in brown rivers
5)I will get to be ministering to kids ALL DAY LONG and doing church services at night, which includes doing worship AND giving sermons!
I AM SOOO EXCITED!!!! Seriously, I don't even care about the dog and spiders and river bathing, BRING IT ON! I love my team and my leaders and I can't wait to tell the love story of my life (Jesus DUH) ha love you guys.
